5.0.4.0. If Life rank is established, merit badges can be credited too

Where it can be established that Life rank has been achieved, the council or district advancement committee can go on to determine which Scouting America merit badges may be awarded.

Note. This step only exists if Life was established. Below Life the rank determination is the whole of it, and merit badges are earned in the ordinary way through the merit badge programme.
