Required

Some formality and real questions, but a relaxed atmosphere and the Scout Law in mind. About 15 minutes for most ranks and no longer than 30; Eagle boards run 30 to 45.

Note. Practice boards of review are not allowed at any level. Unit leaders and Eagle coaches may discuss the kinds of question to expect; rehearsing the board itself suggests the questions are predetermined.

Note. A board of review may be held posthumously where all the requirements were met before the Scout's death. See "Bestowing Posthumous Awards", 5.0.6.0.
